Shades of Women

There is no need to think about them — they simply are, and they remind us of their presence on their own. Even without humanity, their existence would still manifest itself. Perhaps even without the concept of gender, this feminine force — or simply this presence — would remain an essence that splits, shapes, and fertilizes reality. Not only biologically, but also conceptually and ontologically.

Yet this phenomenon often stays hidden when perceived through the lens of a heterosexual man — a member of a social group conditioned to overlook it. What I see instead is trembling, eruption, and an overwhelming surge of inspiration that is difficult to contain in such a short time. And then, suddenly, the phenomenon disappears.

In the times I exist in, reaching these sources of inspiration has become more indirect — and paradoxically, this offers a sense of calm. It gives me time to define my impressions, and space to face uncertainty, knowing I am not alone in this existence and that most people have access to the same tools, or even operate at a higher level of competence.

Decision-making and speed still matter, of course, yet rejection no longer carries the same weight; it becomes merely another position on a list, another chat, another platform. Much has changed now that we can turn to a digital assistant and confide our daily hesitations and stumbles.

Perhaps I do not reject reproduction in the traditional sense — I simply bypass it. In the realm of painting, I fulfil the idea of love in the way Eros intended.
