Project Grey Zone incorporates NEXT 2.5, an interactive, enhanced version of the algorithm. The project explores the blurred boundaries of authorship, a highly relevant topic in the context of AI’s growing presence in contemporary art-making.

The interactive installation, including canvases in progress, is exhibited in public spaces. Visitors are invited to draw on the canvases in collaboration with the NEXT algorithm. Throughout the process, I continuously filter and shape the evolving image, harmonising the composition while creating space for further interventions by erasing selected areas and applying white paint as a new surface for drawing.

After a period of public interaction, the canvases return to my studio, where I complete them.
